Thomas Maclean Bronze; Girl Emerging from Bull Rushes
[MF1148]
£795.00

A fine quality late 19thc bronze sculpture by the well listed English sculpture Thomas Maclean (1850-1930).

In a classically styled portrayal, the girl holds, with one hand, her hair above her head and with other her gown as she emerges from a cluster of bull rushes producing a very appealing sculpture.

With a rich dark brown/black patina the piece is set upon an integrated socle which bears the artists signature. NB: A plaque at the rear of the socle is missing leaving a small (non-detracting aperture).

Circa 1890

Base Diameter: 17cm
