An attractive marble sculpture from the art nouveau period of a young lady in an elegant pose adorned with a garland of leaves and berries.

The subtle tones and natural ageing colouration of the marble produce a very pretty and unique sculpture in very good condition considering the age of the piece.

Set upon an integral plinth with stepped and chamfered leading edges it includes a scrolled document and a protruding snake head - indicating perhaps a theatrical connection to the subject.

The style produces an interesting and decorative piece to complement any interior design scheme.
