Beautifully carved marble statue from the Art Nouveau period of a young woman in a classic pose seated stroking her hair. Set on pale green/white veined marble plinth with scalloped edges. In very good condition with one expert restoration to the left ankle. This is an authentic piece signed by the artist Sandor Jaray, a rare and finely detailed work that is pictured on the Jaray Family history web site (www.jarayfamily.net)
