George III Mahogany Bureau Bookcase

SOLD

Adapted in the 19thC to support a glazed bookcase top. The bureau base, with shell inlay to slope, features an excellent fitted interior with secret drawers, period brasswork (probably original) and stand on bracket feet. The shaped astragal glazed top has adjustable shelves and dentil cornice above.

Both sections are of excellent quality and together present a handsome piece.
