A finely cast bronze sculpture with an unusual, aged silvered patina depicting a standing race horse by the well listed French artist Pierre Leordez (1815-1892). Inscribed P LENORDEZ on the naturalistic base.

Leordez lived and worked in Caen, France undertaking many commissions from the racing circles of the French Riviera and exibited at the Salon between 1855-1877.
